This is a different allergy tea than we had previously, but is the one I use, especially during Ragweed season! Tastes wonderful as a bonus. The first time I used it I could tell a difference in my ability to breathe, but my body is used to herbs, and so it might take a little longer for others. Take this every day, and most people notice a difference after 3 days of one cup a day. If your allergies are particularly bad it’s even beneficial to take 2 or 3 cups a day as you begin to treat your hay fever. Then when you are definitely responding positively to it, drop the frequency down to one cup a day, but keep the strength of the dose at 2 full teaspoons per cup.
The breakdown of ingredients and their purpose looks like this:
Nettle: helps stabilise excessive mast cell over-activity that over-responds to histamines
Mullein: a long-standing respiratory herb for allergies; very soothing for the upper respiratory tract
Rosemary: helpful to inhibit the process leading up to an allergic reaction. It’s also great tasting!
Plantain: helps moisten delicate tissues when they are dried out and irritated
Goldenrod: Used to assist with ailments of the eyes; conjunctivitis, red-eye, styes, itchy eyes, and stinging eyes
